Youtube's Making NFTs?

If your reading this, you've probably heard of Youtube & NFTs. Youtube is an American video sharing platform & social media owned by Google. It's the most popular video sharing platform in the world and is the 2nd most popular website in the world right behind their owners, Google.

NFTs is an acronym that stands for Non Fungible Tokens. NFTs can be almost anything digital like images, videos, and audios. Personally I don't like the idea of NFTs but THIS IS MY OPINION. If you want to learn more, than go to the YesterWeb's page about it.

So why would these two things combine together? Well there's a little thing called Web3 (you can learn more about that with the first link) which is an online ecosystem which instead of being owned by one single entity, it's owned by multiple people. This version of the web works with blockchains which is basically a database of recorded data but it's designed to be impossible to cheat the system or hack it. So Youtube's CEO, Susan Wojcicki, has been considering intergrating Web3 with Youtube and making NFTs a revenue sources for creators along with videos etc. Looks like I'm switching to Vimeo.
